Mark Kenly Domino Tan has combined two very distinctive elements in the history of fashion - the flamboyancy of 18th century men’s fashion and the bold 1920s women who adopted the male wardrobe. This fusion is the inspiration behind the Spring/ Summer 2017 womenswear collection. The colour palette for the season contains harmonious douche tones - pale grey, dusty rose, sky blue, citron, and lavender. Floaty silks, textured linens, wool boucles and technical fabrics reinforce Mark’s vision to create a luxurious and classic wardrobe yet accessible and modern. Staging the SS17 show at the old working class area of Amager in Copenhagen, the outdoor venue created a minimal and industrial atmosphere, bringing contrast to the elegance of the collection. This season, Mark has joined creative forces with Scandinavian top designers Yvonne Koné and Orit Elhanati to create an avantgarde footwear staple to complete the collection.
